The city of Padova is located in the North-East of Italy, 30 km from Venice and Venice airport, with frequent train and bus connections. Padova can also be conveniently reached by train from the international airports of Bologna, Verona and Treviso, which are served by numerous airlines from the UK and continental Europe.

Residential accomodation

Bed&Breakfast accommodation will be provided in Copernico Hall of Residence, a newly-restored university residence which is located within walking distance from both the town centre and conference venue. Extra nights’ accommodation (before and after the conference) will also be available. Accommodation at the Copernico Hall of Residence,  is available on a single room basis with shared bathroom between two rooms, as sketched in the picture below.
Indication of the person with whom the participant wishes to share the bathroom is welcome and will be considered.

Reservations can be made by completing the "Accommodation and Accompanying person Form" (see  the Registration procedure).  If you require extra nights please indicate on  this  form.

Since the rooms at the Copernico Hall of Residence have been reserved until 15th July, Residential type of accommodation is guaranteed for early registration, whereas late registered participants will be accommodated on a first-come-first-served basis subject to room availability until completion, otherwise delegates have to choose an hotel accommodation (non residential).  Accommodation details will be confirmed in writing on receipt of the registration payment.

All bookings are the responsibility of individual delegates. UPEC2008 will not bear the cost of cancellations and non-appearances.
