Registration

Authors must register and present their papers at the conference. Failure to pay registration fee will exclude the paper from the conference proceedings.

Registration for the conference entitles the delegate to conference publications, attendance of technical sessions, lunch and refreshments on each day of the conference, reception buffet, civic reception, tours and banquet dinner. Residential registration also includes accommodation (bed & breakfast) in the University halls of residence on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights inclusive.

Registration procedure

In order to complete your registration, proceed with the following steps:
1 – Go to the On-line registration page and submit your data. If you pay by credit card, follow the instruction provided.
2 –If you pay by bank transfer (international money order), send copy of the bank transfer receipt by fax to “UPEC2008 Secretariat”, fax +390498277599
3 – Download, fill and send the “Accommodation/Accompanying person Form”. This form must be submitted by all registered delegates, regardless the registration type (residential or non-residential) and the presence of accompanying person.

Registration fees

 *A copy of student status certificate should be enclosed with the accommodation form and presented at the registration desk.

Residential delegates may book extra night accommodation at the hall of residence both before and after the conference. Extra night accommodation will be charged € 40/night  (Bed&Breakfast). Please, indicate any extra night request in the “Accommodation/Accompanying person Form”.

Accompanying persons

The name of the accompanying person should be clearly indicated in the "Accommodation/Accompanying person Form". The registration fees for Accompanying Person is 150 Euro, which entitle to all lunches and refreshments, social events (welcome buffet, social evening, conference dinner) and cultural visits planned during the conference. For children under the age of 12, the participation is free of charge.

Payment information

 Conference registration fees

Full payment of conference registration fees must accompany or preceed the on-line registration. Note that conference registration fees include VAT (20%).

Payment in Euros (EUR) without any charge for the beneficiary should be made by either credit card or bank transfer (no Cheques will be accepted):

• By Credit card: VISA or Mastercard only, through the on-line registration page.
• By bank transfer: arrange the transfer to the following account, before the on-line registration. Please make reference to “UPEC2008 Conference” and specify clearly delegate(s) name(s) and country. All charges to be paid by sender.

 
Then send copy of the bank transfer receipt by fax to “UPEC2008 Secretariat”, fax +390498277599.

Extra-nights and accompanying person(s)

Registered delegates requiring extra-nights accommodation and/or registration of accompanying persons, should state the extra amount due in the “Accommodation/Accompanying person Form”. This amount can either be added to the registration fees and paid by bank transfer (see above), or  be paid in cash at the Registration desk at the time of arrival.

Confirmation of registration

Registration and all payments will be confirmed in writing upon receipt of the registration form and payment or proof of payment.

Registrations and payments submitted to the Conference Secretariat after August 20, 2007 may not be confirmed in writing. In this case please bring the copy of the registration form as well as the proof of payment of your registration fee with you.

Changes to application

Changes to your original application for registration will be charged a handling fee of 20 EUR.

Cancellation and refunds

All cancellations of Conference registration, which must include your full bank account details, should be sent in writing to the UPEC2008 Secretariat.
Cancellations received no later than August 15th, 2008 will be refunded in full except for the administrative fee of 30 EUR. Refund requests received after August 15th, 2008 will not be considered.
No cash refunds will be made at the Conference. All refunds will be processed and paid by bank transfer after the Conference.
